A newcomer to the kitchen, the Airfryer (more commonly known as a puffer) is a multi-tasker that can fry, roast, grill and bake. Cooking food in a small appliance is quite energy efficient.

The Work Efficiency Association tested two devices. The production of frozen fish sticks consumed about 0.3 kWh of electricity, the oven carrots about 0.5 kWh and the cooking of frozen French fries 0.12 kWh.

On the other hand, an electric oven consumes an average of 1.5–2 kWh of electricity per hour.
